Skilled multilingual and professional interpreters alike can earn money for their time, creating a new source of income for people all over the world. It also opens up a global market for interpretation.

Babelverse interpreters receive a 70% cut of the per minute interpretation price. Rates are set by Babelverse(per language pair) according to several parameters such as cost of life in the relevant countries. Thus avoiding a bid to the bottom, both in terms of pricing and quality.

Babelverse interpreters

On Babelverse there are 3 main groups of interpreters, the professional, the experienced multilingual and the trainee.

Trainees: New multilingual members have to practice on our training platform, interpret some casual conversations for free, and be vouched for by experienced members.

Experienced: Once they have proven themselves, they are available for more demanding interpretation jobs and start earning income.

Pros: Professional interpreters (with specialised training, accreditation and/or a lot of experience) are available at premium rates for people who require top quality.

Total control of your availability

We have made is as easy as possible for interpreters to manage their availability on our platform. You can define your general availability(time-slots), within which your are then notified when needed, and can choose whether to take the call or ignore it. We understand that you want flexibility—you can easily update your availability at any time.

All interpreters are independent(i.e. not employees of Babelverse) and work remotely regardless of their location. The whole world is now your market!

Used by anyone

Phase 1

Babelverse is first being used for events and conferences, for both attendees and remote viewers. There’s no more need for expensive specialised equipment and on–site interpreters.

Live–streamed conferences can now be made available in multiple languages, for people who would be unable to attend, let alone understand.

Phase 2

Soon however, Babelverse will allow anybody to benefit from on–the–spot interpretation, over the phone or via the internet, during their everyday conversations, when doing business, traveling, or any situation. For around the cost of a mobile phone call!

Anyone will be able to request interpretation via their computer, smartphone or other mobile device, and then be connected to the best available interpreter. And even without access to the internet, by making a call to a local–rate phone number…
